Too often we see Rockfall protection treated as a simple product decision: Engineers quickly decide to either install mesh, add a barrier, and/ or move on. But experienced geotechnical engineers know it doesn’t work that way. Rockfall protection is a system, not a single solution — and the biggest risks tend to appear when projects are fragmented between hazard mapping, engineering design, barrier supply, installation, and monitoring.
