Christine Runguro Thikusho
Christine Runguro Thikusho is a Senior Geotechnical Geologist with 13 years of experience in open-pit mining. She is currently working at Husab Mine, where she focuses on geotechnical assessments, slope stability, and supporting safe mining practices.
Christine holds a Master of Science in Engineering from the University of the Witwatersrand, with a focus on rock engineering, as well as a BSc Honours in Geology from the University of Pretoria. Over the course of her career, she has worked across uranium and base-metal operations, gaining practical experience in geotechnical monitoring, ground-support systems, and day-to-day geotechnical risk management.
She is committed to continuous learning and to applying sound rock-engineering principles to help improve safety and efficiency in mining environments. Christine values collaboration and aims to contribute steadily and meaningfully to the teams and projects she works with.
